Photogrammetry

Construction

Foam core, wood and glue were used to construct the base form of the model.

Texture was applied with sand and sharp tools and imprinting, before sealing the model and painting.

Photogrammetry

A 3D model was created through photogrammetry using a lightbox for even lighting.

250 images were compiled into a point cloud in Reality Capture to generate the model with texture and colour.

3D Printing

The 3D model was editing using several software including 3Ds Max, Zbrush, Reality Capture, and Instant Meshes.

Meshmixer was used for final mesh editing, slicing and support generation.

This project focussed on the creation of a 3D model ready for 3d printing using either Photogrammetry or Laser Scanning tools
